The Transformation

4M Outdoors installed 2,628 square feet of artificial turf for sports across the batting cage area. Ground preparation came first: excavation, a compacted base, and grading so water leaves the cages rather than collecting where players stand. Infill was worked into the fibers to hold them upright under the repeated foot traffic a cage concentrates into a small area.

The Outcome

The cages hold one even surface now, including the spots that used to wear to dirt first. Water drains off after a storm rather than pooling at the plate, so the cages come back into use quickly. Upkeep is brushing and debris clearing rather than reseeding the same worn patches every season.
